Topic: MY APOLOGY

An apology from me:  I recently had a reviewer suggest that maybe I was going in too many directions at once, and it does look like I am.  I hit a dry spot with the two stories I was working, one a rewrite and the other a first draft, so I let a new one in the mix, thinking it would just be a short story, enough to give me time to think about the first two.  Well, it's gotten longer than I expected.  I'm trying to get it finished as quickly as I can, so I can get back to what I was doing.  At the same time, I've posted homework assignments for the creative writing class, but those were things I'd already written, which I just posted anew.  So, MY APOLOGIES TO MY REVIEWERS FOR SEEMING TO RUN IN ALL DIRECTIONS AT ONCE.  THE LAST CLASS ASSIGNMENT HAS BEEN POSTED, THE THIRD STORY IS ALMOST FINISHED, AND THINGS WILL BE BACK TO NORMAL IN A FEW DAYS.  THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR PATIENCE.  JP

Re: MY APOLOGY

I wouldn't worry about it at all, JP. At the moment, I have five huge books (>30 chapters) I am editing (and have not published yet) and lots of little short stories percolating in my brain. It's when your work begins to suffer because of all the diversification that you have to worry. If you continue to get good reviews, don't worry.

Re: MY APOLOGY

JP, I thought that was your regular work ethic.  I have paused on The Hunt, because my flashbacks confuse even me.  I for one will be with you whatever you post.  You do it right in my book.  Mike

Re: MY APOLOGY

Just because some of us can't keep up with how quickly you are adding new postings, doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. So in my book you have nothing to apologize for.

Re: MY APOLOGY

JP, I'll hit all your stuff as soon as my world calms down. Just write. Never apologize.

Re: MY APOLOGY

I wish I had the capacity to split my brain/concentration to work on many lengthy projects at once. I can do that with shorts but not with novels. You should celebrate the fact that you can, JP!

How to live

Re: MY APOLOGY

Aplology accepted! Get back to work!
You might try FOCUSfactor- Nutrition for the Brain

I always thought supplements were hu-hu, but this one works for me. I take six tablets each day, sometimes more. THey are available from Amazon.

Or playing the bongo may help, actually, bongo playing might help as might stopping your writing at intervals to play the piano or guitar or to take a brisk walk.

Seeing your intelligence in action I can't see why you can't divide your projects up and allocate sufficant metal engery to them. Taking a break every hour, for fifteen minutes of movement will keep you sharpe all day or night.
