Now that you mention it, my account balance is -6989. I suspect that reflects the amount I paid to get back into the site and will be corrected once everything settles down.

I could not sign in under my current account so I had to use an old email address to get in where it told me my account had expired and wouldn't let me do anything else until I downgraded to the free basic to get a message in here. So, assuming, the site is running to some extent, how do I get my current membership with current email address and paid up premium restored? Thanks. Take care. Vern
I had about a month or two left of membership when the site crushed, my bailing info actually survived the restore and I'm not sure if I lost any point...
Sol, I noticed this morning under my billing profile that I have an account balance of -2024. Is that an error, or just some quirk of how the billing profile is displayed onscreen?
It's probably a quirk with how I had to adjust the accounts for the free six months. I'll look into it but you won't have to pay for some time .
Unrelated question, does updating a chapter that was already published no longer cost points or am I doing something wrong?
P.S.
Thanks for the free half year
LonelyWolf, updating the text of an existing chapter has never cost points (use the blue edit "link" on the posting (chapter) view above the existing chapter's text, not the white edit button). If you delete the chapter and post a replacement (i.e., with the same chapter number), then it'll cost points. In the latter case it will also put the chapter back at the top of the home page, and reviewers can review it again for points. But, deleting an existing chapter will also delete any reviews attached to it.
If you have any follow-up questions, let's move the discussion to a new thread, so we don't derail this one. Or, feel free to send me a connection request and we can message outside the forum.
Regards,
Dirk
Sol, I haven't heard anything since my post about my account a few days ago and since you have responded to others since that time, I thought I should make another attempt to correct my account. As stated earlier, I was able to enter the sight through an old email address, but it doesn't show my account paid up since June and therefore I'm stuck as a basic member rather than a Premium member. I can't find anywhere in billing or anywhere else to change my email to the correct address. Please let me know how to remedy this situation. Thanks. Take care. Vern

Hi Vern,
I sent you a private message. Let me know and I'll take care of it.

Hi Sol,
Can I transfer my old membership to this new pen name? Old account: cblaurencebooks@gmail.com or lleinphx@gmail.com.
Thanks, Lauren

Done. Thank you. Take care. Vern
Sol,
Morag Higgins can't get into her account (since the crash) and it won't accept her password or let her reset it. Also won't let her set up a new account because she already has one. She has sent an e-mail to Support but no reply. I got this info through Barry, so I don't know if she used a broken support link.
Thanks
Dirk
My account also hasn't been restored since I posted about it, and I also have no access to my old account.

Sol, Morag still can't get into her account. It's been a week since my previous post about this.
Thanks

Hey Sol, I think my account was one of the ones lost, I hadn't been as active lately but still have a few stories I wanted to finish up reading like Jube's once I get life back under control. I renewed my yearly membership on March 25th. My username was Apricots and I signed up with a different email this time. I don't know how many points I had, probably not many as I had been posting chapters before time got away from me. Thank you!
It's been over a month since my initial request and my account still isn't restored. I'm at a loss for what to do. Should I message at this point? Do you need to see my receipt? If there's something I need to do, I can't do it unless I know what it is.
Apricots, send him an email as well. I don't know how often he checks the thread. You shouldn't have to wait a month.

Hi Sol,
I sent an email I rejoined when I couldn't log on. And my postings of two latest novels are gone - The Gatekeeper's Wife and Bloodroot. About 64,000 words total. I'd like to repost as I am not finished with either.
If possible I'd like to take advantage of your free 6 month offer - a partial refund or extra six months (total =18 months)
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Hi Writing_Cheri,
Are you able to login now? I gave your account the free 6 months. I also gave you some credits to repost. If you need more, let me know.
Sol
Hi Sol,
I only got a week when I rejoined the site. Isn't it supposed to be six months? Plus I'll need at least 300 points to republish the chapters I've lost and can't upload anymore.
Thanks,
Tweetybird

Yeah I'm feeling a bit invisible given all the others getting responses. I can understand not seeing the first message, or the second message, but all three? I'll just email to ask for a refund at this point, Jube still hasn't answered my connection request, his book is no longer up, and he was the only person whose story I was reviewing still.
Hey Sol... dun forget invisible Apricots.
I'll just post this regularly

I appreciate it Kdot. I emailed four days ago, with the receipt from my membership, no response yet.

Hi Apricotsink, so sorry about the delay. I'm going to fix your account now and provide a little extra for the lack of a quick response.
Sol, CE Jones reported to me that she can’t get her account restored. Can you please look into that for her?
