Hello, everyone:

I'm more than happy to return after a few weeks of excruciating treatment of my melanoma that just won't quit. Damn. I'll be picking up reading/reviewing where I left off.

Maybe you can show the reader he's screaming by letting me hear how the roar bounces off the walls and echoes around the church? Throw in a little soundtrack?

Nah, afraid not, Temple. Needed 2.06 points, had exactly that, published the piece to the everybody-group, and ended up with a post without points to be earned. Added 0.43 points,  et voila, there it is, complete with points. On the 'book' issue, yeah, I got it.

Figured it out. Apparently having an equal amount of points as are required for posting will result in a publication without points awarded.

I do (and did) until this morning, Temple, but whenever I change the groups to publish to (like everybody and his bother and sister), it comes back the same: check boxes devoid of a check mark.

How come I can't publish a post that awards points to reviewers? Worse: After posting the piece in question, it swallowed my points.

You, ma'am, are insufferable, if not a complete jackass. You must be the light of every Christmas party. Cue the 'witty' answer 3, 2 and 1...

Alleging someone's drunk when he has a problem posting is not very helpful, but, then again, it's par for the course.

Why should I worry about that now? I have about 110,000 words to slap into place.

Thanks go to all my cherished reviewers. Your comments have greatly helped me to slap this sob into shape.

I received quite afew questions as to where this is going, and other than writing a few meaningless and subtle hints, I find that near impossible. The storyline is just too damn sprawling. I mean, how am I going to explain the Browdys, along with plenty of ancestors, are going to be collected by Anubis, Lord of the Dead, Ruler of The Great Divide, for their crimes against humanity?

If you are curious enough, I've posted a short synopsis.

In any case, thanks to one and all.

Regards,

Ray

Howdy, Bobbie.

I shall start at chapter 744, hoping not to find myself where my lips... er…

Thanks your reply.

Hi, y'all:

I'm faced with a problem when choosing a posted manuscript: jumping in at, say, chapter 19, makes it very hard to figure out what's been going in previous pieces, and/or if the author actually wants more reviews of earlier work.

Needing to gather lots of points to publish my recently completed manuscript entitled The Great Divide, a complex tale of horror and sci-fi and historical fiction and steam punk and love, I would kindly invite you to let me know if you'd like to exchange views/comments. In case you're reluctant, I've posted a short synopsis.

Having been around in the publishing business for some twenty-five years, both as copy editor and published author, I like to think I compile reviews that may very well be helpful when polishing up your work to the bright shine it deserves. When it comes to reviewing short stories, I always reciprocate as well.

You're kindly invited to let me know if you're interested.

Kind regards,

Ray
