I get a connetion request.  I click to read the message, which appears tool-tips fashion.  Now I'd like to approve or disapprove the connection, but the control is covered by the message, which cannot be cleared by hitting escape, and does not seem to clear when you click elsewhere.  (I[m using IE right now.)  You have to switch tabs away and then come back.

ESC should clear it.  Clicking elsewhere should clear it.

The site also has the habit of logging me out, and Chrome on the phone cannot verify the site ID, or get a secure connection.

Not a bug, strictly, but a feature I do not want:   In order to exchange messages with people, I have to connect with them.  Once I do, my home page gets cluttered with what they 'shelve'.  I'd really like to be able to shut that second part off, or else not need to connect to send messages.  If the point of this to allow us to manage our interactions, the granularity between 'I can talk with him' and 'his side stuff appears on my page' seems quite coarse.

Is there a way to search the help system to look something up?
Please provide a way to switch the color scheme.  This one is causing me eyestrain, increasing by the minute.

I don't know what creating a group entails, either, but so far it looks like it creates a wall between you and other writers on the site.  I had to subscribe before I could write this.  Tread carefully lest you find there is something you cannot undo.

It looks like I won't see replies here unless I explicitly subscribe.  If I'm wrong, good.  If not, creating this group will help to Balkanize the community and make it harder for us to find both new works and new work on existing works.
