Harry Truman was president when I was born, too!!  We're older than dirt, but the laugh lines deepen daily. And thanks for that nice comment... you're so sweet! I hope Di is stable. Give her a big hug for me!!  smile

Try 70-year-old memories. That'll really get you down.

I will be away from my desk (?? LOL) until May 1. I’ve got my granddaughter’s wedding coming up, plus 8 newly rescued horses from a hoarding case, and they are requiring a lot of my time. So, until our words meet again…

Happy trails!

I keep hearing this. I don’t know if there’s any truth in it or not, but if this idiot declares martial law, our constitution goes in the fire, and our right to free speech is gone. Has anyone else heard it? They’re saying April 20th because that’s Hitler’s birthday.

Marilyn,

I checked the word count for your chapter 6, and you have a little over 3400 words, so it should cost somewhat over 10.6 and pay 20% of that for the moment. Could you please recheck the posted chapter from your account? The numbers look correct from my account.

Oops... you're right. I had the wrong chapter open... been a long day in the world of rescue!  I should've taken a nap instead of counting words - LOL! But, still, the ratio doesn't work. Don't give up, my friend. You've worked too hard trying to accomplish something to keep us going here. I hope SOL will speed up the process before you get too much more disgusted. You've done an excellent job. And thanks for that correction. Now I am going to sleep!

My last chapter of "Rambo's Last Call," Chapter 6, is 1597 words. I used 10.71 points to post it, and it pays my reviewers .99 points.

SOL... we've got to do something to improve this ratio, or we will never grow. We deserve better than this. We're trying our best to rebuild this site after the Great Crash of 2023, but it's almost impossible to do it with that kind of ratio. Two of the latest people to join have told me they won't be staying because they're having to spend too much time reviewing everyone else's work in order to post one chapter. You can see what I'm talking about with the ratio I just pointed out.

This is not the first conversation we've had about the unfair ratio, so could you give us an approximate date as to when that will be taken care of? I'd like to be able to say to those new people, "Please stay until XXXX (date) because SOL is working on the problem.

Thanks,
MJ

At the moment I’m too sick to get riled, but does anyone know why musk and his snot-nose brats are flying in Air Force One?

I couldn't watch the tangerine toddler brag on and on about how wonderful he is. Not feeling well from this nagging flu bug, he sent me into orbit just hearing his whiney-ass voice and telling the world how smart he is. I said, "F*%k this, I'm off to bed." I figured the world news would carry it today if there was anything I needed to know. And obviously there wasn't.

I do hope those who will be up for reelection in 2026 realize, if they are Republicans, that being a part of the trump maggots pretty much ensures they will not be reelected. Or if America is smart... which we've never been accused of being ...they won't be.

I've paid into SS my entire working years... from my first job at 14 years old until now, 60 years later. If Musk cuts out social security, he had better have a trick up his sleeve for reimbursing me and millions of others the total amount we've put in and the total amount my employers matched for me. We never expected a rich man like musk to come along and decide it wasn't in our country's best interest to continue paying me. I depend on it to pay my bills as well.

If any of you are wondering why I'm not reviewing, I've got a bug, most likely the flu. Chills, fever, congestion… you get it. Be back at it soon.

When will the Republicans in Congress grow a pair and stand up for their constituents?

Probably not until midterms, when hopefully we clean house with the ones up for re-election. But at this point, the maggots have not gotten the message that the blowhard is a bad thing for this country. They keep supporting him verbally, and in an abusive way, I might add.

I hope the military will see through all this and say no way. Up yours, trump! But I realize their careers may be at stake.

My son-in-law just retired as a CW5 in the National Guards after 30 years of service, and he, too, is having trouble getting medical help through the VA. I think it's a crying shame, but Mr. Bonespurs, of course, has no clue what it's like to be a veteran and therefore has no concern about anyone but himself. And, Bill, I am sorry to hear you're having to depend on anything other than VA care. If Musketeer has his way, Medicare and Medicaid both will be done away with. The more people he can starve out, the fewer complainers they have.

I saw this morning that brain-worm RFK Jr wants to do away with having to let citizens know when he makes a decision that affects their healthcare. He is a man who should never have been in any kind of position that deals with anyone's health. He's a drug addict, just the kind trump can manipulate.

I couldn't listen to it. Just watching was bad enough. We're already the most hated in the world, and I can't believe how snowed half the country is and how easy it was to do. It's frightening as hell. I don't doubt for a second a WW is coming. Will it be nuclear, I don't think so, maybe, but it will be bad.

I saw a tweet last night that said, "Can somebody PLEASE just do it already?" and instantly it was understood what the poster meant. It had thousands of likes. I couldn't push the heart fast enough.

Definitely needs done.

I totally agree.  The sooner the better as far as I'm concerned, but who has enough guts?

Randy...Bill... anybody... do any of you think our military would consider such a takeover? My feeling is this:  I think Turkey is going to plunge in and kick Russia's butt and get this war over and done. But in the process, I think trump will pull us out of NATO and fight on Russia's side, given his love for Putin. If he orders the military to fight FOR a country we've fought to keep out of our country for years, are they required to do so, or will they quit, or just what do you think will happen?

I have never been so embarrassed for our country than today when trump and vance attacked Zelensky in the oval office. I wanted to go through the screen and choke both of them. trump is chomping at the bit for WWIII, and he even mentioned it. I hope Zelensky never sets foot in that office again. The next time they meet, he should make it somewhere else. trump is chickenshit to go to Ukraine.

Turkey is ready to send troops to fight Russia. Tell me what you think the US will do if that happens. Will they be ordered to defend Russia? If so, will they do it, or will this be our troops' perfect spot to say NO, move in, and stop this nonsense and collapse of our country?

I had to make this group private due to unsolicited advice that a public group could be seen on FB and other social media outlets. If you know someone you'd like to invite, do it. (Well, except for one ass on tNBW. Lol!)

245 million eligible voters in this country.
90 million did not vote, so that’s 37%.
77 million idiots voted for Trump, which is 49% of those who voted.
75 million for Kamala, or 48.3%.
But if you do it the other way and count percentages of ALL eligible voters, trump got 31% and Kamala got 30.6.

So 31% of voters voted FOR crybaby. And he won. How disgusting!

She is from Georgia, and they love her over here. Georgia is a redneck state, and they don't get any more redneck than this idiot. She tried so hard to get a piece of trump… and probably did. Talk about first-class idiot! She is not in my district, but I would never vote for her. Talk about dumb as dirt!

Bill

Putin has the concrete evidence Russia helped Trump win the election. He also can grant Trump access to Russia for a hotel, golf course, etc. He can also simply pay Trump millions/billions for government secrets. Trump is for sale period, and he is also in love with all the authoritarian leaders and has a hard time determining which one will be his next roll in the hay, so he treats them all with favors and love letters, but Putin is by far the front runner for his next true love -- sorry Melania, you don't measure up in bed anymore.

Melania doesn't give a rat’s ass about him. She is only in it for the money. That's why she popped a baby out so quickly. But Putin does have the goods on him about the 2016 election and Trump knows it. Elon bought it this year, but Putin wanted trump to win so he would drop the tariffs Obama placed on them. Trump was too stupid to realize he'd been played.

OMG, this is getting absolutely ridiculous. Even Hitler didn't seize control this fast. How is this happening when EVERYONE saw it coming, and NO ONE did a thing to stop it? (Merrick Garland, Biden, DNC, etc.) Are there ANY decent members of the GOP? Can anyone stop what's happening? Sorry to panic, but seems like panic is in order.

He should've been in prison January 7th, 2021. Weak Dem leadership. We go high isn't working, folks. Get in the mud and fight!

Biden could have and should have arrested him and imprisoned him for insurrection. But he let him keep throwing our country into turmoil. For the entire time of Biden's presidency, all we heard was what trump was up to, what he planned, what he was doing, and all his trials. Biden could have had him jailed and didn't, so here we are now.
