I couldn't watch the tangerine toddler brag on and on about how wonderful he is. Not feeling well from this nagging flu bug, he sent me into orbit just hearing his whiney-ass voice and telling the world how smart he is. I said, "F*%k this, I'm off to bed." I figured the world news would carry it today if there was anything I needed to know. And obviously there wasn't.

I do hope those who will be up for reelection in 2026 realize, if they are Republicans, that being a part of the trump maggots pretty much ensures they will not be reelected. Or if America is smart... which we've never been accused of being ...they won't be.

I've paid into SS my entire working years... from my first job at 14 years old until now, 60 years later. If Musk cuts out social security, he had better have a trick up his sleeve for reimbursing me and millions of others the total amount we've put in and the total amount my employers matched for me. We never expected a rich man like musk to come along and decide it wasn't in our country's best interest to continue paying me. I depend on it to pay my bills as well.

When will the Republicans in Congress grow a pair and stand up for their constituents?

Probably not until midterms, when hopefully we clean house with the ones up for re-election. But at this point, the maggots have not gotten the message that the blowhard is a bad thing for this country. They keep supporting him verbally, and in an abusive way, I might add.

I hope the military will see through all this and say no way. Up yours, trump! But I realize their careers may be at stake.

My son-in-law just retired as a CW5 in the National Guards after 30 years of service, and he, too, is having trouble getting medical help through the VA. I think it's a crying shame, but Mr. Bonespurs, of course, has no clue what it's like to be a veteran and therefore has no concern about anyone but himself. And, Bill, I am sorry to hear you're having to depend on anything other than VA care. If Musketeer has his way, Medicare and Medicaid both will be done away with. The more people he can starve out, the fewer complainers they have.

I saw this morning that brain-worm RFK Jr wants to do away with having to let citizens know when he makes a decision that affects their healthcare. He is a man who should never have been in any kind of position that deals with anyone's health. He's a drug addict, just the kind trump can manipulate.

I couldn't listen to it. Just watching was bad enough. We're already the most hated in the world, and I can't believe how snowed half the country is and how easy it was to do. It's frightening as hell. I don't doubt for a second a WW is coming. Will it be nuclear, I don't think so, maybe, but it will be bad.

I saw a tweet last night that said, "Can somebody PLEASE just do it already?" and instantly it was understood what the poster meant. It had thousands of likes. I couldn't push the heart fast enough.

Definitely needs done.

I totally agree.  The sooner the better as far as I'm concerned, but who has enough guts?

Randy...Bill... anybody... do any of you think our military would consider such a takeover? My feeling is this:  I think Turkey is going to plunge in and kick Russia's butt and get this war over and done. But in the process, I think trump will pull us out of NATO and fight on Russia's side, given his love for Putin. If he orders the military to fight FOR a country we've fought to keep out of our country for years, are they required to do so, or will they quit, or just what do you think will happen?

I have never been so embarrassed for our country than today when trump and vance attacked Zelensky in the oval office. I wanted to go through the screen and choke both of them. trump is chomping at the bit for WWIII, and he even mentioned it. I hope Zelensky never sets foot in that office again. The next time they meet, he should make it somewhere else. trump is chickenshit to go to Ukraine.

Turkey is ready to send troops to fight Russia. Tell me what you think the US will do if that happens. Will they be ordered to defend Russia? If so, will they do it, or will this be our troops' perfect spot to say NO, move in, and stop this nonsense and collapse of our country?

I had to make this group private due to unsolicited advice that a public group could be seen on FB and other social media outlets. If you know someone you'd like to invite, do it. (Well, except for one ass on tNBW. Lol!)

245 million eligible voters in this country.
90 million did not vote, so that’s 37%.
77 million idiots voted for Trump, which is 49% of those who voted.
75 million for Kamala, or 48.3%.
But if you do it the other way and count percentages of ALL eligible voters, trump got 31% and Kamala got 30.6.

So 31% of voters voted FOR crybaby. And he won. How disgusting!

Talk about first-class idiot! She is not in my district, but I would never vote for her. Talk about dumb as dirt!

Putin has the concrete evidence Russia helped Trump win the election. He also can grant Trump access to Russia for a hotel, golf course, etc. He can also simply pay Trump millions/billions for government secrets. Trump is for sale period, and he is also in love with all the authoritarian leaders and has a hard time determining which one will be his next roll in the hay, so he treats them all with favors and love letters, but Putin is by far the front runner for his next true love -- sorry Melania, you don't measure up in bed anymore.

Melania doesn't give a rat’s ass about him. She is only in it for the money. That's why she popped a baby out so quickly. But Putin does have the goods on him about the 2016 election and Trump knows it. Elon bought it this year, but Putin wanted trump to win so he would drop the tariffs Obama placed on them. Trump was too stupid to realize he'd been played.

Biden could have and should have arrested him and imprisoned him for insurrection. But he let him keep throwing our country into turmoil. For the entire time of Biden's presidency, all we heard was what trump was up to, what he planned, what he was doing, and all his trials. Biden could have had him jailed and didn't, so here we are now.

He's already started with MSNBC. Joy Reid was outsted, and trump is shooting for getting rid of anyone who has spoken anything against him. His next target is Rachel Maddow, the Saturday Night Live, followed by Jimmy Kimmel. He aims to have only good things said about him, and CNN is running scared. I think it's time to put a stop to this madness.

I actually heard that on WYFF4, which covers our area, too.  I didn't know exactly what it was then, but afterward, there was some coverage of the one in Greenville. I think it's a good idea. But I also don't think peaceful demonstrations will work with that group. It's going to have to turn violent before the plight of the common people is actually heard, and by that time, it may be too late. The executive orders he is issuing have not been approved or disapproved by anyone. He's been given free rein over anything and everything he wants to do.

I like the idea, and I will certainly participate in it if one comes nearer to me.

BTW, for what it's worth, another "peaceful" thing is being tackled this Friday, Feb. 28. It's a movement to not log onto Facebook that day since Zuckerberg is in donald's pocket, and the other thing is to not buy anything anywhere. No gas, food, groceries, or Amazon, especially. Just go dark that day. I think if enough people do that and keep doing it on certain days, it will get attention since Fridays are normally busy days for stores everywhere.

Thought you might be interested. This group has been around for a while, and they don't play around.

Maybe this is old news, but I just came across this in one of the groups I'm in: It's from Senator Chris Murphy, (D - CT)

Report from the Senate Floor:
Last night in the Senate, something really important happened. Republicans forced us to debate their billionaire bailout budget framework. We started voting at 6 PM because they knew doing it in the dark of night would minimize media coverage. And they do not want the American people to see how blatant their handover of our government to the billionaire class is.

So I want to explain what happened last night and what we did to fight back. The apex of Republicans’ plan to turn over our government to their wealthy cronies is a giant tax cut for billionaires and corporations. And they plan to pay for it with cuts to programs that working people rely on. Popular and necessary programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP, are all being targeted. In order to pass the tax cut, Republicans have to go through a series of procedural steps. Last night, they took the first step which requires them to pass an outline of their plan, but with it, any senator can offer as many amendments as we want. So my Democratic colleagues and I did just that.

Now, we knew that Republicans would largely unanimously oppose them, but we had two objectives here. One, Republicans were forced to put their opinion on record — many for the first time — on the most corrupt parts of Trump and Musk’s agenda. Two, as I’ve been saying, I am going to make every process and procedure as slow and painful as possible for as long as my colleagues choose to ignore the constitutional crisis happening before our eyes.
So what did we propose? We proposed no tax cuts for anyone who makes a billion dollars a year. We made them vote on whether or not Elon Musk and DOGE should have limitless access to Americans’ personal data. We made them vote on whether to protect IVF and require insurers to cover it. Every single amendment Democrats proposed was shot down. On almost every single amendment, Republicans universally opposed it. Every Republican voted against our proposal to prevent more tax cuts for billionaires. The corruption and theft is happening in the open here.

The whole game for Republicans is taking your money and giving it to the wealthiest corporations and billionaires — even if it means kicking your parents out of a nursing home or turning off Medicaid for the poorest children. They know what they are doing is deeply unpopular. They are offering a tax cut to the most wealthy that is 850 times larger than what they are offering working people. Oh and by the way, any tax cuts for working people are going to be washed out by higher costs for basic necessities, like health care and food. It’s a fundamental injustice.

Thanks to your pressure and support, many of my Democratic colleagues have joined my effort to do everything we can to make sure they cannot destroy democracy and steal your money in the dark of the night. We are being loud about what is happening. I’m going to continue to grind the gears of Congress down as much as possible to make it that much harder and slower to get away with this corruption. That’s why the votes lasted until nearly 5 AM.

This is a five-alarm fire. I don’t think we have two years to plan and fight back. I think we have months. It’s still in our power to stop the destruction of our democracy with mass mobilization and effective opposition from elected officials. So we can’t miss any opportunity to take advantage of opportunities to put Republicans on the record and shine a light on what is happening.

And you have a role to play in this as well. I need you to amplify what’s happening, support the leaders who are fighting for you to make sure they can continue speaking truth to power against Musk and Trump’s billionaire cronies, and show up at rallies and town halls. Use every tool at your disposal to send a message loud and clear about how you expect my colleagues to lead and fight in this moment.

Every best wish,
US Senator Chris Murphy (D - CT)

It is a sorry state of affairs when the good citizens of any country begin thinking of moving to anywhere else purely due to political pressures and outright hooliganism. My ties are here. My father fought in WW2, not directly against aggressors, but monitoring weather conditions in Alaska and analyzing their physical contents to see if the Soviet Union had developed nuclear energy. He remained in service for a total of 31 years, retiring as a full colonel is what was now being called the Air Force. I was born in 1942, so I've never been a civilian. To my way of thinking, no right-minded military man could even think of signing up for a cup of Kool-Aide from Felon47. It runs against my grain every time I hear his comments that we are losers and incompetents. I worked damn hard for my twenty years, retired with honors, and I'll be damned if I'll just knuckle under. I'm here, and here I plan to stay. If I have to use the storm shelter, so be it. But, Felon47 isn't digging me out of my position. I think I can handle four years. If he ever gets that third term, then all bets are off.

Bill

I was a member of a couple of Facebook pages that were totally against trump, but those pages were shut down by Zuckerberg and his hounds, running scared because they were threatened by trump when Zuckerberg kicked him off FB after the January 6 insurrection. So now, like all the other rich people in this country, they are operating according to trump's rules, or they will be "arrested," and their businesses will "fail" according to trump's henchmen. (I do not and will not capitalize trump's name because there is nothing "proper" about him!). Anyway, you can come here, rant, and rave all you want. After discovering that Zuckerberg bit the bullet, I deleted my FB account. I am trying not to do business with anyone who supports him, but the one weakness I have right now is Amazon. I have to figure out a way to order things online from someone besides Amazon, which is more than convenient, but Bezos is a huge supporter of the orange clown.

Glad you're here, Bill. With your vast years of military experience, maybe you can keep me from derailing!  LOL! Because, at the moment, I'm ready to start a revolution and get this clown eliminated!! If David and I didn't have all the animals to find homes for, we'd sell the farm and move to Costa Rica with Mitch, or to Canada with Dirk. But we're too old to start over, so I hope a coronary event finds its way to the White House before I have to make that decision to leave the land I was born in.
