Topic: Be back soon

As soon as I recover just a little more from my bout with Atrial fibrillation, I'll get back to reviewing. This was a particularly nasty one in that they had to knock me out and zap me to get me back into sinuous rhythm, like they had to do 10 years ago. It sounds complicated, but it wasn't. I was surprised to learn that quite a few people slip into this and back out without knowing it at all. Left the base hospital yesterday evening so I am taking a day or two off to rest.

Tom,  hope you are feeling better quickly.  Don't worry about us,  we'll be here.  Take care of yourself.

Tom, get better real soon.  We'll be waiting.  Take care of yourself.  JP

Re: Be back soon

Good luck, Tom. I had a recent spell with multiple PVCs, at times going into bigeminy. But the cardiologist told me it wasn't serious enough to warrant treatment, and it passed. Are you taking any "blood thinners" in case the a-fib comes back?

Re: Be back soon

Let yourself heal. You're in my prayers.

Re: Be back soon

Many thanks from me to everyone. I'll start in on my backlog of reviewing in the morning. Still resting now.

Re: Be back soon

I'm just glad you're okay! I don't want anything to happen to you, and I'm sure I'm the only one who feels that way.

Re: Be back soon

Hope to see you back soon Tom, and don't worry, just for you, I'll write even slower (not sure if that is even possible at the moment) smile  But in any case, I haven't forgotten about you too, the dust settled and I'm slowing adjusting to my "new normal". Rest as much as needed, don't rush it, your health is really important, and I'll check in once you're back. All the best! Janet

Re: Be back soon

Hope it doesnt happen again and that you get better soon man !

Re: Be back soon

Get well Tom! Relax, renew, refresh the body, soul and mind. Meditation is the very thing for this!

I always dig down to understand, to learn the cascades of body functions.

Re: Be back soon

You are so right, max. I spent two hours this morning sitting on the floor and meditating. As near as I can tell, this whole thing started when I lost my left kidney. All sorts of functions began to go haywire. Fortunately, I have a very good Cardiologist and Nephrologist - They're both in the same clinic at the base hospital and exchange data on me all the time. Loss of my gall bladder didn't help, either.

Re: Be back soon

Tom,  I suffered for many years with A-fib.  They put in a pacemaker/defibrillator which gave me some insurance against V-fib but I still had the discomfort of the flutter in my chest, which was scary and very uncomfortable.  My heart electrician did a ablation to my heart and burned the nerves causing the A-fib, no more trouble.  Hope you feel better soon.
Lord Jesus, please come close to Tom right now and help him regain his strength from this A-fib. I know how it can zap your strength.  Please watch over him and make him well again soon.  In Jesus Name I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

Re: Be back soon

My heartfelt thanks, Mike. I think I may have done too much today, though. I'm going to get to bed early and get some more rest. My Cardio doc says he wants to run a few more tests before going the ablation route. I have a good strong heartbeat, but when all my endocrines and various levels (especially potassium) get out of whack, I'm susceptible to A-Fib. He see no need for a pacemaker.
