Topic: Warning to others in the future.

I screwed up my entry into the 2015 writing contest. Instead of posting one book with three chapters, I posted the same book three times with one chapter each. Now that I've finally figured out what to do it's too late. I'm marked now as an unprofessional. Oh well. We live and learn. So to others, make sure that you use to Add Chapter tab when publishing in book form. It's too late for me in this contest. Good luck to all!

Formatting is not really a factor in the contest. As long as you get your chapters posted, they will be entered, even if you did one chapter per book. Good luck!

Re: Warning to others in the future.

If we didn't all screw up several times, life would be boring and we wouldn't learn anything. Sol, our good guide, don't give a fig, he loves us all as long as we are honest and try to be generous with each other.

Re: Warning to others in the future.

I also started posting separate chapters as separate books. I used extra points to re-post as added chapters to chapter one and think I fixed the problem. Live and learn, and read a few more things. Good luck.

Re: Warning to others in the future.

I messed up and posted my novel to the seven line poetry contest in addition to the best first three chapters contest. How do I undo that? Anybody know?

Click on that piece of content in your portfolio and then go to the Contests sub-tab. On that tab, you can remove something from a contest.

Re: Warning to others in the future.

IT'S NOT TOO LATE. The deadline is midnight, so do what you wish until that time. We all must learn from our mistakes; not to do so, now that is what I would consider unprofessional. Take care. Vern

Re: Warning to others in the future.

I sympathize and feel like the biggest loser - the person who sent me the contest rules thought  you could purchase the points  you needed to post but i have not found anytiing and would have joined sooner (hence procrastination accusation is true lol) if i had understood that more than memership was required to enter... sighs...  So i could have posted three short chapters instead of three long ones maybe? But now midnight has passed and i can no longer see and have to be up early tomorrow! good night in the morning, as grandma used to say smile
