Topic: Excessive Points For Posting A Chapter

Hi Sol,
I was going to post a new chapter to a WIP. For a 1543-word chapter, the site wanted to charge me 9.43 points.  Based on previous postings, I think 4 to 5 points would be normal. I've previously posted chapters in excess of 2,000 words that only cost me 6.8 - 7 points to post.

I did not post the chapter. The WIP is "Alabama Greene", if that helps. I know you're busy, so I'll wait to post the chapter until I hear back when you have time to do so.

Welcome back, Alan. The points math is definitely off in your case. Try deleting your browser's cookies. That cleared up weird behavior for me in Chrome. I'm not sure if your browser uses cookies, though. If you don't want to delete them all (it'll kick you out of many websites, so save your work), see if you can find where in settings you can pick which cookies to delete, and get rid of those related to this website, then restart your browser. It's a long shot, but it surprised me a few times that it worked.

Thanks for the welcome back and the suggestion. Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the issue. But it obliged me to create new passwords for many of my sites - I was going to do that before year's end, anyway.

BTW, the reason for my extended absence was Di had another stroke and two minor strokes soon afterward, and then we both came down with a moderate case of COVID. Di's speech and mobility were affected, but she's improving.

I'll be back to reviewing in a day or two.

Alan, welcome back. It's good to see familiar faces returning. Sorry to hear about your wife's health. As Dirk said, I can't imagine the stress you are both under. You are a prince among men to be by her side so vigilantly. I wish you both a speedy recovery.
