Topic: Covid-19 - A Warning.

After having been hospitalized for 5 days with what was first (and wrongly) diagnosed as pneumonia, I urge you to pay attention to what you're doing. Do not believe assholes like Trump and Johnson: Covid-19 is nothing like the common flu, but, like the flu, it may kill you, only sooner. Also: get tested. I couldn't, but after the dung hit the fan, I finally ended up in an ambulance and the ER. And the damnest thing: I have no idea where I picked it up.

terrible to hear! Get well

Re: Covid-19 - A Warning.

Hope you continue to recover, Ray!

Re: Covid-19 - A Warning.

5 days.  That’s amazing.  The average stay in the hospital with Covid-19 is 8 days, longer for the elderly, and 16 days for the more severe cases.
Be well.

Re: Covid-19 - A Warning.

Anybody who believes PeePee Trump after more than 16,000 lies has a gullibility issue to say the least.  Glad you're one of the survivors. Take care. Vern

Re: Covid-19 - A Warning.

Ray, so glad you recovered! These are difficult days we're living in and I have no doubt that we will get through them. The silver lining for us on the site: we are writers with imaginations that transcend our reality. Continued health, Ray!

What a nightmare! Glad to hear you're getting better!

Re: Covid-19 - A Warning.

Glad you're recovering. Let's be extra cautious. No precaution is enough to keep Covid-19 away from our lives.

Kiss,

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and return to normal life! If you're up to it, now's the time to work on that book... Get better and stay well.  JP

Re: Covid-19 - A Warning.

Gosh, Ray, so sorry to hear that you've been ill.  I hope you continue to improve and back up to snuff soon.  Stay at home and don't venture out.  I've been ordering everything brought to my car for the things that can't be delivered by UPS, USPS, or Fed-Ex.  Though it's not as much fun, the fast-food drive-through windows are just as germy as going inside, so everything is being prepared from home for me until this has passed.  There's no sure-fire way to keep from getting the germ since it's airborne, but hopefully staying away from everybody will make it pass on by.

Take care of yourself,
MJ

Re: Covid-19 - A Warning.

Well, no wonder you haven't replied to my reviews! At least you have some kick-ass science-fiction to read. You did bring your Kindle, didn't you?

All kidding aside, get well. I work in a hospital. I see first-hand what's going on. I've been in rooms with COVID-19 patients having to do x-rays and such. So I can feel your pain. Don't rush it, though. Hopefully by summer's end this'll mostly be behind you.

Re: Covid-19 - A Warning.

I now know two people in the US who have it, and it's broken out in my mother's care home, even though the total confirmed cases in Canada is just 7300. Alberta Health Services has yet to mandate masks for people working in care homes. Morons.
