Topic: A little turbulence

Hi all,

We're experiencing a few technical glitches with the site. We're working to fix it but it's possible the site might be down sporadically over the next couple of days. I just wanted to let everyone know. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

Thanks, Malcolm!

Re: A little turbulence

Sol, check out the latest review I did for Stephen Carter's book, Germ Line: Revolution. It's not displaying the comments correctly (the comment boxes are huge).

Re: A little turbulence

Hi Norm,
What browser are you using? They look normal to me.
Thanks,
Sol

Re: A little turbulence

Google Chrome. Latest version. I cleared the browsing history and cookies, and restarted the browser. The problem still exists. Was there any work done on x-line view?

If anyone else is seeing this, please comment here.

I'll email you a screenshot.

Re: A little turbulence

I checked on my cell phone, and the problem exists there too. I'm running Google Chrome there as well.

Re: A little turbulence

I have problems with the windows in Firefox for Regular reviews: I have to remember to put a title in FIRST because once I've tabbed down to the main window it expands upwards to cover the title window and I can't get back up there.

Re: A little turbulence

Sol, the above pictured display problem is now visible to Linda Ulleseit on all of the inline reviews she's received for her book. I checked them, and I can see them too, so there's more than just my account involved.

We're looking into  this but I think it's a setting on your computer or browser as most people aren't experiencing this. Did it start at a certain point?

Re: A little turbulence

The first I saw it was April 11, a day after you put up this thread. K also saw it, since he supplied the image above. Now Linda.

Re: A little turbulence

Internet Explorer shows the same problem. I'm running on Windows 10.

Re: A little turbulence

Okay, this is a tricky one because only some people see it. Let me dig a bit more and see what I find.

Re: A little turbulence

Hi all,

We had a brief outage today. We're looking for the cause of these brief outages and will solve it shortly. There seems to be a pesky bug in the system that brings the site down every so often. Sorry. We're working on it.

Re: A little turbulence

my computer does that too. I bet your server is running Windows 10 big_smile big_smile
