Topic: Status

I noticed that the novels I have looked at have a status listed at the top of the initial page. I have seen listings that say Draft, 1st Draft, 2nd Draft, and Finished. I assume the authors establish the status, however I can't find where it is done. What does finished mean? If I read something that is finished does it mean I am wasting my time if a leave a review?

Re: Status

No review is a waste of time. If the author is posting it for feedback, then they still need eyes on it.

As to adjusting STATUS--once you are viewing the project in question, the "BASIC INFO" section of publishing is where you will find Status. Click into it to get the drop down menu to choose which status to apply.

I think some content was accidentally imported with the status set to Finished. So, for old content I wouldn't pay too much attention to it.

Re: Status

Linda Lee, thank you for pointing out the Basic Infor section. I must have skipped right over it. And I thank Sol for pointing out that past postings, which have some age on the them, were classified as finished by the system. I went back and corrected the status on my biographical novel Men at War.

Re: Status

John, I have no clue how the status was derived. I never indicated one. I think most of my novels say "finished." NO! You are not wasting your time with a review, if you go to me. smile When my novel is FINISHED it will be taken down from this site and in print and on Kindle. That is when I consider my novel finished. Even then--PLEASE read and review on Amazon.
