I'm putting together a list of acknowledgements for The Fruit of the Poisonous Tree (you know, the story of Mel and Jerry), something I neglected to do on my first book (sorry!). Please send me a message to let me know how (or if) you'd like your name to appear. Thanks. JP
Suggestion: When you write your next book, keep a tally sheet and add the names of people who deserve thanks for their contributions. That way, you won't leave anyone out. You never know when failure to give thanks can cost you someone you may need the next time. We love to believe that we are selfless, but when we do something important for someone and they do give thanks to others, it is a slight to be left out. Thank you doesn't cost a penny but in todays world where electronic masturbation on an I-Pad has replaced relationships, it is a good feeling to know that someone cared enough to put it in a book.

Congrats on publishing Fruit of the Poisonous Tree! Good luck, JP. I'm sure it'll be great. Alas, I was not one of the reviewers, so I will not be included in this list. But, I did buy Adventures of a Young Girl, and I'll look forward to purchasing Tree as well.
I know the struggle to give credit where credit is due. At one point, I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep my membership, so I tried to copy/paste all of the reviews I'd received on my stories so that, when the day came, I'd have a concise list of those I needed to thank. Well... Let's just say it was too extensive an undertaking. Also, I (obviously) decided to keep my membership.

I used Excel to create a spreadsheet of reviewers per story. If you choose to do this, you'll find a bunch of other stuff you can attribute to any one author (i.e., helpful/professional/not so much). I'm thinking of doing something similar for the stories I review. As I age, I'm finding it more and more difficult to recall the plots and characters of the storylines.

Thanks for your tips. I started the book two years ago, and I was surprised to find some old reviews erased. I will keep your suggestions in mind for the next books.
Another problem is that I don't know what name to use for some reviewers. Please don't hesitate to message me the name you'd like me to use in acknowledging your help.

I've collected quite a few names, but am still waiting to hear from a couple of people who were instrumental in my getting the story written. JP
