Re: Welcome!

So glad this group has been started! My YA books have a touch of romance, but I am thinking of beginning an adult romance series. I love reading romance - I've been known to speed read 4-5 romance novels in a week smile

Re: Welcome!

Thanks for joining!  Hope more will join, but the 5 group limit is tough!

Re: Welcome!

Hi, I'm new to thenextbigwriter and I am just getting the hang of things, up until recently I didn't have the confidence to publish my work. I now have it on two other sites and the response I've been getting is great. I'm a shy writer, and person.  I love to write romances, along with some adult romance. Though I'm not sure what kind of content is allowed on this site.

I love to read all genres, so I will gladly review any bodies work, I may not be able to help with grammar and spelling but I can give my honest opinion on the plot, characters, and general flow of the work. So if you have any suggestions for me to read, please just send me a quickee.

Re: Welcome!

Hi Michael
I know the "old" site had an erotica section for the more racy stuff.  Then again, some of the novels I've read that was classified as romance were quite explicit.  Folk around here wouldn't mind, but some would appreciate the courtesy to be warned of any explicit content and can then skip that chapter or novel.  If you feel up to it, you can always start an adult content group.
All suggestions are welcomed too.  What you're not good at, someone else is, so things just have a way to work out around here!  So far, I haven't met a single reviewer who's intent wasn't meant well.  It can get tough, but you get use to it after while, and especially as you see the value you get from those kinds of reviews.  And most of the time it's a mix of improvements and compliments, the support is really great.
I'll send you a connection request - I tend to only review my connections, they have enough work coming through to keep me busy and sometimes I don't even get to all the reviews I want to do.  If the number of reviews on my work drop, I'll go hunting again in the Premium Group.  But since you're new, I'd suggest you keep an eye out in the Premium and Free groups - and check out the other groups, you might want to join some others.
Also, send connection requests to members of this group.  They'd return the favour.
I have a work in progress called Northern Skies.  Feel free to get into it and let me know where things don't work/flow so well.  It's the first draft still, so I've had a lot of reviews that changed my mind, but for now, I just want to get a few chapters out of my head onto paper, and I'll take a break and revise again - all will make more sense then.
Good luck with writing!  And I hope you will also have a positive experience in these hoods!
Cheers

This is so true for me too! Before I started to write, I was actively on Goodreads. After a year when I realized I'd read over 350 books, I decided I had an addiction. Now, I write as part of my therapy and cost savings plan and this site provides me the opportunity to do both!

Hi Michael. Glad you joined. You'll find all types of writing here so don't be shy (we don't know you any more than you know us). I have some explicit sex scenes in my story but I preface the chapter with a warning. So far, the responses have been great.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Karin. Once upon a time on tNBW, I was known as Rita. Some people still call me that.

I write fantasy heavily laced with romance. I love writing about LUV! I'm very excited that a Romance group has started and I look forward to getting to know everyone's work.

Hi Karin

I'm assuming you prefer Karin, if not, please let me know!  I really hope to get to your WIP soon, but at this stage, my recips are taking more time than what I have to do reviews!  Hopefully there will be a lull, and I'll be able to get to read some new stories!

Thanks for joining!

Cheers

Re: Welcome!

Howdy, all.  I have quite a few romance novels over on Booksie, but just starting out here.  Is it acceptable to transfer novels from there to here?  If not, I can understand it completely.

Tom

Re: Welcome!

Hi Tom,
I don't see any reason why you can't transfer your stories to this site. I've never used Booksie, but I've had a lot of good feedback here. Whether you use the free portion or the premium shouldn't matter.
