| Bio: | Prior to pursuing the literary dream of novel writing, I practiced law for 11 years, drafting legal briefs and memoranda. Now, I am a recovering attorney/aspiring novelist. Picture me with my faithful clumber spaniel, Bosco snoring at my feet, while I stare at the screen of my laptop computer. I completed a first draft of Double Out and Back a novel, and received feedback on this site—and then spent an extremely long time re-writing it based on feedback. Currently, I am seeking agent representation for that work. I have, from time to time, posted short stories about Sanaz on this site. I believe her life is rich enough to support a book-length Sanaz’ Stories. I have just begun to post chapters of my efforts to put that together. I have also participated in writers’ workshops and retreats, including studying with Julia Glass at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts, and with Michael Neff of Algonkian Workshops. |
