William Todd Profile

I am an American ex-pat living in Sweden where I work as a scrum master in the enterprise digital department at a large manufacturing company.I have have a BFA in Painting from Indiana University and have enjoyed modest success as a painter while working full time and raising a family. After two decades of painting, my interest has shifted to writing where I can bring with me all the hard lessons I learned about the creative process from making studio art.  Currently, I am focusing on a series of short stories loosely based upon the quirky characters I have met in my life's journey. Many are artists, ex-pats, and other non-traditionalists. Through my work, I will attempt to focus on the conflicts and challenges people face while pursuing non-traditional paths in life. I take my inspiration from the works of Philip Roth, James Salter, and Ernest Hemingway.
