Wendy Van Horn Profile

Wendy Van Horn is the author of The Fancy Files series of young adult novels. She has a degree in Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of South Florida. Van Horn embarked on a writing career nearly 25 years ago, and her previous publications include short stories and articles on subjects ranging from aeronautics to zoology. She has worked for a variety of magazines and newspapers, and was the lead writer for an aviation magazine. She recently wrote the entire features section for a NASCAR magazine, writes features for a diverse group of publications, and rewrote the web content for a German company that sends tourists into space. Van Horn is also the organizer of a writer’s group in Tampa, Florida, where she teaches, performs wedding ceremonies, and resides with her husband, children, and a herd of strange-looking dogs.
