I learned to read at age four by reading the newspaper upside down (my mother was holding it) and I have not lost my love affair with reading since. I also love to write, have completed one novel and begun two others, and have written scads of short stories (not of which, sad to say, have been published, although I have won and placed in several contests on another writing site. I live with my spouse and a big white cat named W. C. (for white cat, of course.) The pic is me only a few years ago. Now I have a few more wrinkles and a lot less hair (it's short--I'm NOT bald.)
