R. A. Smith Profile

I hate these things. I can create an entire world in my head and write about it, but I struggle to put together a few good sentences about myself. I guess I will just start at the begining. I fell in love with books and writing in fifth grade when I learned to do both (early childhood problems made for the late start) thanks in no small part to a legend, in my mind, named Lee Burton. He taught me to beliave that I could write something that other people might actually want to read. I had big dreams from then on and left High School with every intent to pursue them, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions and I lacked the disipline to make time to write. Life got in the way and now here I am thirty years old and starting again for the first time. I am a full time daddy with three children and I work very hard to make sure that I MAKE time to write. I have a very supportive wife that is willing to work while I pursue my dream. I know that my writing is still amature and that is why I am here, to learn from others while trying to pass on the limited tidbits I can contribute. Thanks for having me.
