Quacker Profile

i sam as 69 year old retired Credit Manasger who spent 33 years as a "suit" before taking forced early retirement 12 years ago when my position was eliminated.  The "corporate stiletto" finally found my back when my supervisor chose me to fall on my sword rather than taking the bullet himself like he should have.  Having witnessed many talented people getting "whacked" during my 33 years, my treatment certainly was not a surprise and, rather, I knew that I had survived in the corporate battlefield much longer than most.  Those that had longer tenure than me usually did so by displaying a facility for being "desk divers."  Said another way, they dove under their desks rather 

than standing up to be counted.  I reflect back on my career as never being one to compromise my value system and being able to look at myself in the mirror each day and feeling comfort that I never got to my position sat the expense of others..........never.
