Pam is a Christian, widow, grandmother of 5 and published author of 1 short story. She found her passion for writing at the young age of 8 after receiving her first diary (with a lock) for her birthday. From then on, she entertained friends and family with her tales.
Hundreds of short stories, essays, and personal day-to-day journals are tucked away in the trunk her grandmother brought over from Norway. Last year, she finally blew the dust off of a short story and had it edited, then self-published on Amazon. What a satisfying feeling that was. It really was a sweet story, but not great! It was rough and Pam found herself a little embarrassed by her first publication. Digging into her trunk and getting inspired for some new material, she has nearly completed her first full-length novel with the hopes of having it published by December.
Working full time for the last 30 years, she is finally retiring in June to give herself more time to write.
Pam loves the Lord and was a "preachers kid" growing up. She was blessed to have been raised in a loving and adventurous home. She has two grown children and five adorable grandchildren whom she tries to spend as much time with as possible. Her loves are books, music, writing, random road-trips, coffee, bookstores, the ocean, bed and breakfasts, lighthouses and driving in the desert after a torrential rainstorm.
She became a widow eleven years ago after being married for 30 years. It was sudden and it was heartbreaking, but her faith, family, music, and writing helped her through those dark days. She went back to college at 50 and completed her Bachelors Degree in Business Management. She considers that to be one of the most rewarding moments in her life (other than the birth of her children/grandchildren.)
Pam looks forward to the future and has hopes and dreams that she would love to see fulfilled. A couple of great books that not only entertain but also inspire, challenge and warm the heart are at the top of her list.
