Midnight_Dreary Profile

Manage three teams of software engineers. Sometimes it seems as if they are managing me. Spent 14 years in the Army National Guard. Entered as a Private and departed an Officer and a Gentleman. Worked in Iraq one year as a defense contractor. I thought I had survived the summer heat until August arrived. I learned an old Iraqi saying roughly translated as, "August is the month that melts the nails in the door hinges." Lived the majority of that time in one of Sadam's Palaces in his home town of Tikrit. It would appear that the "Food for Oil" program became the "Oil for Lavish Palaces in My Home Town" program instead. Iraq remains superimposed upon my being like some sort of strange tatoo. I have always enjoyed creative writing in all of its guises. I am happily married to an exotic beauty from a far-away land and we have two and a half children so far. I am also active in my LDS church and enjoy participating in weekend service projects assisting hurricane victims.
