Hello All,
My name is Mario D. King and it's been a pleasure thus far interacting with members of TNBW. Writing has been my passion since my teen years. I'm a poet at heart, so my style of writing may depict that at times. I currently have 3 books published independently (1 novel and 1 novella series).
I've been in corporate America for a little over 10 years with much success, but now I now want to chase my original love of storytelling. My goal is to attain an agent to seek out a traditional publishing deal. I'm also planning on applying for my MFA in 2018.
The majority of my writing deals with the different complexities of life within the African American (AA) experience. My hope is that my work is honest and have a level of understanding that reaches beyond just the AA demographic.
I'm looking forward to connecting with you all via reading and receiving honest feedback.
My favorite writers are: Paulo Coelho (Meaning behind every word), Anthony Doerr (Great details/poetic), Ta-Nehisi Coates (Thought provoking) and Ernest Hemmingway (Simplicity)
