Lynda Weinberg Fishman Profile

Lynda Weinberg Fishman is a trained clinical social worker who has spent the last 20 years as a Camp Director. In the early 90s, Lynda was one of the first camp directors in the Toronto area who incorporated children with special needs into mainstream camp life. After working for over 16 years successfully expanding a camp from 200 to 1200 campers, she has recently opened her own summer camp, Adventure Valley Day Camp. She has an outstanding reputation in the Toronto camping community. Lynda has published many articles and training manuals that deal with the summer camp industry on leadership, teamwork, bullying, trust, childhood health and wellness, communication and customer service. This is her first, full-length book. Lynda and Barry Fishman have three grown children. They live in the north suburbs of Toronto and enjoy most weekends relaxing and playing with their dogs at their log home in the woods an hour outside Toronto. The Fishman family is heavily involved in fundraising and charity events for children dealing with tragedy, cancer or other life-threatening diseases.
