Linda Spear Profile

I've been a professional journalist/book writer for almost 30 years. Spend the first 20 with the New York Times as a contributing writer and a frequent contributor to national magazines. When I was ready to work as a corporate employee, I chose Ciba-Geigy Corporation (now Novartis) where I worked at national corporate headquarters as the manager of communications for 10 years. When the corporation merged with Sandoz, I was downsized and started to write books for doctors who didn't have the time to write about their own specialties by themselves. I've worked as as ghostwriter for 12 years and have loved all the people I've met and the information I've learned about medicine. Currently, I am writing a book under my own name about Hospice. I have a wonderful agent and I am replete with information as I lost three members of our family last year...all three spent their last days in hospice care. I have also written two books of fiction, but need I tell anyone how hard it is to get a novel published by a "newbie." It's this book I am submitting to you.
