Hey, I'm Laura and all my life the only thing I've ever wanted to do was write. So I made myself sit down and do something about it. By day I have a good job, but I only do it to pay for the privileges it can buy me, I'm horribly shallow like that. Don't hate me. Anyhow, most weekends I spend at the beach with my teenaged daughter, who I blame for getting me into YA. We have BBQs by the sea and mess around, then she goes online and I sit down and write. At 4am I'm still writing. Monday mornings are proving challenging, people assume I'm hungover, sometimes I tell people I am, it's easier to explain than letting people know that actually I was up in the small hours torturing myself over two lines and how I could possibly re-word them to better show the angst of my character. I hate myself, it is only words, yet I torment myself over and over, I have rewritten time and time again, I browse, peruse, plan, replan, reorder, adapt, check, recheck, worry, panic and then occasionally sleep. Oh, and I have a cat.
