I'm the wife of an ordained minister and have written one-of-a-kind wedding vows, hundreds of them, since 1989. Born in Seattle as a Navy brat, I spent my first 12 years in every major seaport on both coasts, but when my Dad retired and wanted to do something as different from being at sea as possible, I did the rest of my growing up raising black angus in upcountry SC. Got a BA in history, married a Harvard lawyer, who was a Kissinger aide, lived in DC, moved to Pittsburgh in '74. Have 3 grown children, a lit professor, an architect, and a trauma nurse, been married to my second husband for 31 years. Broke my left foot off my leg Jan. of '08 and it's affected my walking, alas, as it's reattached with loads of titanium, but I've learned a lot from it and spend even more time writing due to it. Am an unabashed Russell Crowe fan and run probably the largest site for him in the world. Was an extra in the movie he filmed in Pittsburgh Oct. of '09.
