I am married with two cats, and live near Melbourne, Australia. I say it that way because I was born in the eastern suburbs and grew up thinking bad things happened on the other side of the bridge. Now we live on the wrong side of the bridge and I'll probably spend the rest of my life trying to get back on the right side. I've been writing since I was a little girl, including many songs (I play classical piano), and poetry (mainly teen angst stuff I won't subject you to). I used to want to be an author/illustrator or a journalist when I grew up. Now I'm grown up, I'm pursuing part of that ambition. I owe it to Little Nel (my childhood family nickname. My grandma was Big Nel). I've written 'The Red Room', which I started over 10 years ago. I have 2 other novels on the backburner - 'Angelface' and 'The Grab', which I hope to post here soon. My goal is to have at least one book published. I come from a family of writers on my father's side, and I dream of publishing in my maiden name, to honour the writers in my family - most of whom have passed away. Please feel free to read my work and review at will. Any support would be really appreciated! Oct 2010: Update: I'm now separated and living back in Elwood, near Melbourne. Much more at home but life is in turmoil and my writing juice has dried up. I suppose that's expected and hopefully I'll be writing again soon.
