I live for the dreamers and the dramatists: those born into hell for such sins as sight and thought, both bright and long with hour-upon-hour resentment. For the mad masochists and the capricious concubines, the lively lycanthropes and the verbose vampires, the articulate and the atrocious, the beautiful and the battered, those who sing in long-dead languages and those who drum with the stones and skulls of their family and foes. I dream for the sullen and the vicarious, and I sleep for the erratic and the listless. I am the highest mountain on God's earth, and the sky shudders at me. When I shrug, the world shrugs back. The universe belongs to me, and I am the universe, alone. My name is Joseph Jiuliani. I am 19 years old, and of Italian/Japanese heritage. I have been writing poetry and prose for about six years, however, I have never considered myself of skill level to be called a "poet" or a "novelist." I'm simply an observer- an observer, and a relayer of observations. I tell what I see, and what I feel, and that is all. Some of my writings are beautiful, others are ugly, and yet still, others are both of these. They are my love, my hate, my sorrow, and all that weaves in and out, and between.
