Jason Akley Profile

I've been writing for seven years. I write because I have to. I received an Air Force R.O.T.C. scholarship in physics. I attended Tulane in New Orleans. I didn't like the math, but I used it to double major in mathematical economics. The classes didn't mean anything. It was the friends and experiences that mattered... I started writing after leaving the Air Force. I work as a med tech in a hospital lab now to pay the bills. I recently wed and we live happily in a home we purchased in a small country town in southern Illinois… Salted With Salt was my first book. I cut about thirty thousand words—logorrhea of a beginning writer trying to say everything. I wrote a novella, The Altar of Silence, after that. And now I'm working on a third book, Lazarus. I'd like to get some feedback. And it would be a lot of fun to contribute among a community of writers.
