I received my MFA in creative writing at Goddard College because I love writing and don't want to die an IT geek for a law firm (though it does pay the bills, for which I am grateful). I like and write all types of fiction, but I seem to gravitate toward a strange mix of literary and speculative fiction. I'm always struggling to overcome my lack of writer's discipline, and my favorite books are those that are more about good stories and touchable characters than fancy, flowing writing. I may appreciate Shakespeare, but I don't read him much.
