Jake Hawkins Profile

Not much to say. I was pretty wild when I was younger (I REALLY enjoyed the 70s... and the 80s. Finally slowed down a bit in the 90s). I owned and operated a martial arts school for 25 years (still train, but gave up the school). Too hard to make a living from that so I went to college (while working full time and running the studio) and got a computer science degree (not because I loved computers, it just seemed like a lucrative thing to do and it seems to have worked out okay). Been running computer networks ever since (sigh). Always loved writing, but haven't done much for a long time. Just recently started writing seriously again with a real passion for it (my mid-life crisis antidote - cheaper than a Harley). Work keeps me very busy (just got back from a trip to China. That was an experience!) and so does my family and life in general, but I hope to do something with my writing (if only I can stay awake long enough to write more than a paragraph an evening). I love putting words together. If they make an entertaining story, thats great, if they touch an emotion or two, that's even better Thats it. That's all I got. Thanks for reading.
