I got a degree in "Feminist Writing", an individualized major combining Creative Writing, Sociology and Women's Studies in 1982 from the University of Connecticut. Writing was my first love that I put aside while I went on to make a living. I have been a 911 dispatcher and an Air Traffic Controller and now I'm an attorney. I have loved my earlier careers, and now I'm learning my new one. Meanwhile, my first love, writing has silently waited for me to be divorced or widowed by my two careers. My love began to drift back into my consciousness when I went through a divorce and had a tangle of pain and grief that needed to be unknotted. It has slowly but surely begun stalking me with the intent of making me a slave to it once again. I cannot refuse.
