I'm a wife, a mother, a writer and an animal lover. Since I was two years old, I've lived in a sleepy California town just north of Nowhere and just west of Where the Heck Are We? I was born on October 20th in an undisclosed year, (this is a bio, not a tell-all) which means that I am a Libra...and boy, am I a Libra! My husband, Billy and I have been happily married for 16 years and we have a beautiful daughter named McKenna. Although I've always been an avid reader and journal-keeper, I never gave myself permission to sit down and write a fictional work. Never, that is, until my world started falling apart. I found out a lot of things about myself and my family that were...unpleasant and unexpected. Deep, dark secrets were exposed and I found them very hard to deal with. I turned to my journal as I always did, but I just couldn't write it all down fast enough. That's when I decided to put my ordeal in story form. Seven months later, I came up for air with my first novel "Illusions of Grandeur." I was hooked on writing. I dove into the literary world and educated myself as fast as I could, reading anything and everything about the craft that I could get my hands on. My muse worked overtime, giving me story ideas on a daily basis, mostly in my nightly dreams. I cranked out my second novel "Hibiscus, Believe" in just six short months, followed by "The Screaming Box" (a novelette) in three weeks. My latest finished product, "Wallflower" was also completed in six months time (finished 7/12/10) and there's no stoppin' me now! At last I've found my calling. Out of adversity comes strength and I can thank my family troubles for showing me the light.
