Eilish Frazier grew up running barefoot and wild through the Piney Woods of East Texas. Raised in a medical family, she spent most of her life taking care of others, as a nurse-paramedic, firefighter and licensed massage therapist.
A mother of two grown children, and several others she raised as her own. "In all, I have eleven grandchildren from all my young'uns, and I wouldn't trade a one of them. They are my greatest joys and blessings."
Ms. Frazier has had a passion for writing stories her entire life, raised with the oral tradition of Texas storytelling. Most of her stories are set in Texas and contain the typical Texas slang, some Gaelic and Native American dialects. She is proud to be a descendant of Scots-Irish-Comanche and grew up with the Alabama-Coushatta Tribes of East Texas.
After a tragic accident a few years ago, in which she was struck by a speeding vehicle, while walking into a store, and was unable to walk for some time. Instead of feeling sorry for herself, she decided she could finally begin living her dreams, writing stories.
Presently, Ms. Frazier lives on Salina Bay, a small community, in Texas, with her husband of twelve years, her daughter, and two of her grandchildren. She is walking, though with some effort, and working on her second novel. She self published A Piney Woods Christmas novella, in January 2012, and is in the final stages of re-writing the story as a novel, The Spirit of the Piney Woods.
