Short bio info:  High school grad in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Some athletic ability allowed me to attend U of Iowa on scholarship.  Studied a business curriculum and also a smattering of Journalism classes.  Success on the gridiron enabled me to be drafted by the St Louis Football Cardinals where I played for three years.  Traded to New Orleans Saints and played for four years.  Claim to fame is that I blocked for Tom Dempsey when he kicked his 63 yard record setting field goal.  After retirement from football, career in law enforcement, education as teacher and coach, retail jewelry sales, real estate, and now breeding, raising, shearing, and marketing Alpaca and Alpaca product.  Married to a practicing RN for 51 years.  We have four children, a boy and three girls.  We also have six grandchildren, a girl and five boys.  During all these years the urge to write has been nagging and nagging, lying dormant in my subconscious, and finally I have decided to do something about it.  Looking forward to the boost and assistance that the Next Big Writer can give to me.  I am also hoping that I will be able to give something of value back .  Lots of ideas about stories to write, just need the proper guidance I think!
