Far to the northwest there lies a region perpetually steeped in shadow: endless hills smothered with dark green firs underneath a grey sky; a country of darkness and secrets furtively scurrying amid the matted undergrowth and mysterious noises; a gloomy, solemn enclave under a dark veil of never-ending rain.
