I am a student in Katy J's Creative Writing Class. I have never been big on writing, nor reading. Since I returned back to college I desire to continue to build my reading skills on pursuing (preferrably non-fiction vs fiction) the only reason I say this because I will watch a non-fiction movie before watching fiction. To be honest, I am truly uncertain as to knowing the type of readings I enjoy. I am reading what is necessary for each class for my 'BA' degree in COMMUNICATIONS. I now realize that I have been missing out on a lot of knowledge, understanding, wisdom and clarity of what reading has to offer the mind. Now I understand the quote "A MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE", and I have been wasting my mind for @ least one Score for sure. I truly admire those who can say what they want, think and mean through words on a piece of paper w/meaning. I sincerely pray that one day the words of how I feel, think, etc., would flow out of this mind of mine to create a meaningful genre.
