Chavon K. Clarke Profile

Cha’Von K. Clarke “Spoken��? is a published writer, poet, and playwright. She has a wealth of experience in magazine writing with Showoff Magazine and Style Bermuda and interviewing prominent individuals, such as world renowned poet and author, Maya Angelou. Cha’Von’s Christmas short stories have been recognized by the Royal Gazette newspaper, placing 2nd place and Honourable Mention. Her poem, “Awakening��? may be found in the Bermuda Anthology of Poetry, Volume I. Recently, Miss Clarke published her first book under the popular Bermy Chick Chronicles, Streets are Listening...God is Watching, which has flown off the shelf at The Book Mart since its February release. Her second book, I Have Spoken, is now available at The Book Mart and Bermuda Bookstore and a third book, ONYX...Rekindling, will be available in August 2010. Miss Clarke attended Temple University in Philadelphia, where she earned a Liberal Arts degree, majoring in Psychology and a double minor in Criminal Justice and Cognitive Neuroscience. She is the proud mother of an eleven year old boy. In her role of Recruitment Officer for the Bermuda College, Cha’Von K. Clarke has a passion to assist Bermudians in following their dreams, whether it is through a career, modelling, acting or even music. She aims to be a successful author and motivational speaker.
