Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. Have been writing since before I could spell. Spent my early twenties in California, playing music, dreaming of becoming a rock star. Had a blast, yet slowly realized through much trial and error that the dream was actually a nightmare. When it occurred to me that I would eventually need a job that paid, I became a production artist, then eventually a graphic designer. Worked for ten years for various companies, began consulting in '98, which is when I went on my own. Tired of the mainland, I moved back home to Hawaii in '01 and got married. Decided to try my hand at skin art, which would be 'perfect for me', I've been told over the years. Found that to be true. Not only did it reconcile the dilemma of making money while producing art (over the years, either my pea brain or overly inflated ego inhibited me from properly quantifying the value of something that I had 'created'), but also made me understand my personal motivations for wanting to create anything in the first place. To satiate my writing fix I have been penning feature articles for a local newspaper and trying to motivate myself to do more creative writing. I have several manuscripts sitting idle in folders on my computer that I have done nothing with. Now, I hope to, at the very least, get them out there for others to read. Being influenced at an early age, by fantasy and science fiction, my stories tend to reflect such overtones but by no means should be defined as such. My other interests include freediving, riding motorcycles and gardening. I also enjoy painting and reveling in the splendor of the great outdoors with my wife of 5 years, Anna. Me, in a coconut shell.
