As an interior designer, I love to create environments that engage people and connect them to their surroundings. I love to work with rich colors and lots of textures. I believe that nothing says "I don't give a damn" like the color beige. I am taking time as I get older to cultivate my eccentricities. I occasionally wear a tiara at work for no reason at all. I write as a therapeutic exercise and for my own enjoyment. Words are a powerful privilege of the human race. The need for words and the consequences of words poorly chosen are so often underestimated or disregarded. It is largely words that inspire us or encourage us. And it is words also, that chip away at our confidence. And a lack of words that starve us of our connection to the people around us.
