I'm a prior technical editor, exploring the world of creative fiction. I've been lucky anda few pieces of flash fiction have been placed in  contests on WOW! (Women on Writing) and have appeared in the e-zines Every Day Fiction, Long Story Short, Gay Fiction, and Rose City Sisters Flash Fiction. An essay was published in the AARP Bulletin (Oct. 2013). I have a novel in the works and two others, products of NaNoWriMo, waiting in the wings.

One never knows when one's time is up, so I am making time for the things that feed my soul.  I dance (mainly (Ballroom some Country-Western), write, garden, hang out with my pets, spend time with my husband, and squish in time with friends. I've hit that point in life where I've stopped taking crap and I'm not afraid to speak my mind; however, chances are good I'll just walk away from conflict and won't let it absorb my energy. I'm analytical and introspective almost to a fault. I probably like animals more than people, but I am very devoted to the people that I do care about. I'm a staunch friend and a patient enemy (sooner or later life catches up with the nasty ones). I tend to "hermit" and sometimes have to be blasted out of my cave. I'

I am going to steal from one of my favorite authors, Elizabeth Berg. She describes herself in the quote below; I could have written these very words myself about me: "Overly idealistic, sentimental...a person who must pet every dog I pass AND attempt to engage it in conversation..I'm passionate about things to the point of annoyance..I'm a lover of flowers; I need them...I don't have any mechanical skills and wish I did..I'm a good cook. I'm a better eater...I'm deeply shy but I put on a good show to overcome it..."
