Sol, do you have plans to implement a mechanism that would allow authors to give points to others? I have a bazillion points, and it would be great if I could give some of my best reviewers points beyond what they earn by default. It might encourage even better reviews.

Thanks for the suggestion Dirk. At this point we have no plans to make any changes to the point system.

I would have suggested no public visibility as to who received extra points. It could upset an author's other reviewers who may not get extra points, either because the author doesn't have them to give, or because their reviews don't merit extra points. I have on multiple occasions received a very large number of thoughtful and detailed reviews from more experienced authors, all in one day. It would be nice to be able to reward that extra effort. (Looks sideways at K)
I may be one of just a few people accumulating an obscene number of points, so this may not be worth the implementation effort.
Dirk, I understand what you are trying to do but I'm new and the points I need to post my stuff makes me read and review. I am learning from each review I do. I have posted quite a bit of writing and still have a bank of points built up. I really think the way it is benefits new guys to get them active. Just my two cents.
Sol, If you read this I have a question. Is there a way to edit your post while you are looking at the X line review. When I see something I want to apply, I would like to apply it while in the review. Maybe its there and I don't know how to use it.

Not Sol here, but you can switch back to the regular in-line and make whatever edits you wish and then switch back again if desired. If you think you will be making edits to numerous comments, it might be simpler to just stay in the regular in-line format. Another good reason not to make the x-line the default imho. Take care. I have duel screens, so what I do when I apply my edits is I apply them to my actual word document, and when I feel I've made enough changes to the chapter I re-copy and paste the newest version into tNBW letting anyone know that I had applied edits to the chapter from XXXX's reviews.
