I've been fighting off Covid since before Christmas, so I'm only here sporadically, usually via smartphone. Everytime I think it's going away, I wake up the next day to discover I was overly optimistic, although I have made some progress. I can't imagine what this would be like if I hadn't been vaccinated recently. Yeesh.
I hope to return to doing at least one review a day soon. Sorry for the delay.

Hey, friend! I had no idea you were under the weather—Covid is such a pain! I hope you're back to your fabulous self soon! Remember to stay hydrated—preferably with something more exciting than soup. And don’t worry about the reviews. I owe so many I’ve lost count. At this rate, I need a calendar to track the ones I’ve forgotten, but then I'd forget where I put the calendar. The older I get, the harder it is to write AND review—my brain’s on a permanent vacation! But here’s hoping you’ll be up and at ‘em soon, spotting nits like a ninja. Guess that Christmas tree had a few hidden germs, huh?

Well that sux. Don't you hate being sick? I find that whining a lot helps the mental state, though Babe doesn't agree with that (don't know why). Curse the gods! Grumble and spit fire! Oh, and self-pity is soothing. Why me, dammit? I don't deserve this! If your partner shies away, complain to the cat (they probably deserve it).
And cognac helps. You can't taste it with covid, allowing for bigger shots.

It occurs to me that if Donald tells his legions that the vaccine contains the disinfectant he suggested people inject, far more folks would be vaccinated. Of course, then RFK Jr. would have come along and revealed to people that the manufacturers, all of whom are secretly working for the Chinese government, are leaving out the Lysol for batches of vaccine going to red states. But once they're wise to the conspiracy, MAGA will storm Costco locations throughout the blue states, looking for Lysol. And if they run out, they can inject the highest quality maple syrup imported from the Union's newest northern member state.

First, glad you are vaccinated! I had light covid symptoms when I caught it because I was vaccinated. I hope you'll get to feeling better soon, alcohol in hot tea would not be a bad idea.
Okay, I want you to know more than half of America does not want to seize Canada for its oil. We also don't want Greenland for its oil and rare minerals. We also believe in science, civil rights for EVERYONE and upholding the constitution. The next president is not interested in his constituent's welfare as most of his agenda will hurt them the most.

The only good news I've heard recently is that Musk was born in South Africa and is a Canadian citizen. He can never run for president of the US! The scary part is he can probably run for prime minister of Canada. >:-(
The only reason the Canada-as-51st-state idiocy drives me nuts is that the media on both sides of the border keep covering the damn story, keeping the nonsense alive. Apparently, there aren't enough people suffering and dying around the world to keep the media entertained. In 2017, I told Google's news feed to stop showing me any stories about Trump. I'll do that again soon, but I just can't look away from the impending train wreck yet.

Canada is not far enough away for me. If I was younger and didn't have so many animals, I would sell the farm and do just what Mitch (whatta) and Mike Davis did… I would move to Costa Rica. The American empire is collapsing and I hate it for my grandchildren. My own daughter voted for the convicted felon, so we can't even have a conversation about anything political. I have tried to unplug from all things political, but every news outlet fills my email full of the headlines, and I can't NOT see it.

If those who voted for him think he cares about them, they will be in for a rude awakening come January 21st. We tried to tell them, but buying votes is not illegal in this country, nor is being an insurrectionist, as far as I can see. And the January 6th insurrectionists/terrorists will be pardoned in just a few days, and it will all be washed under the rug as long as Clarence Thomas and his gang of injustices are in power.

The one silver lining I hang on to is that as soon as any of the orange Jesus worshipers start to complain about the high prices, losing benefits, or the injustice of it all, I will LMAO at them and not feel one iota of guilt. Now the diehards are not complaining yet, but they won't until their last dime goes to buy a tomato because the female president of Mexico is nobody's fool, and trump can't stand to be outdone by a woman. She has already said Mexico will stand by Panama if trump and his little boy Elon try to take it.
