Topic: Enhancement request: viewing content summaries from the home page?

Sol, would it be possible to add the content summary (e.g., book summary) for each piece of work as a tooltip on our home pages? Specifically, as we hover over the image of one of the works (e.g., a chapter) on the home page, the site could display the work's content summary. That would allow us to quickly scan through the list of latest works on the home page and decide if we want to read the work in question. You do this elsewhere on the site (e.g., on the author's public profile), but not on our own home pages, which is where I spend most of my time.

Thanks
Dirk

In addition to viewing book summaries as tooltips on the homepage, it would be useful to have chapter titles appear under the book names in the New Books list. There is plenty of unused space there without lengthening the home page. Interesting chapter titles might draw in potential reviewers. Right now, all we've got to draw our interest to a book are a book icon and the book title. The book summaries and chapter titles would create a richer home page.

We could use a little more room on the home page I wrote and article and it never showed up on the home page, I had to re-publish it under short stories.

Have the non-fiction categories been eliminated? I wanted to work on something, too.  JP

Evidently, JP, enlarging the fiction/poetry parts pushed non-fiction right off the page. I can afford to spend my credits on publishing twice, but there are others who can't afford to do that.

It would be nice if everyone had the chance to have their stuff on the home page.

Could it be done via the tooltips mechanism?  Of course, there are rollover traps to avoid, but could it be done?
