I don't think they'll go through with this. Of all the things, this should be last on the to-do list, if at all. Then again, politicians have the cunning ability to throw all reason and logic to the wind. Best will probably be to join the resistance if this starts to look possible.

(1) The latest chapter reveal the villain and someone in this group was right all along. He or she gets bragging rights.
(2) I will catch up with reviews this week. I've been really bad focusing on getting this chapter done. I'm not entirely happy with the emotional content, but will fix that with all the rest when I review NS again in future.

Just get the ending onto paper. We can help you clean it up if it seems too messy. I'm having the same problem with Dictates. I just need to pick an ending and then I can move on with revisions. I plan to write alternate endings and let people pick.

Patience, dear Watson! Heaps are still undisclosed. Baby steps ... the mystery of the bad guy and his motivation will be cleared up over the next chapter or so, and right at the end, the mystery for book 2 will be alluded to. I wonder if anyone will catch it. Well, time will tell!

I wrote a bit tonight. Things are 100% better at work, so that helps. I'm still going to work overtime until the end of the month, but then things should almost be as good as back to normal. The plan is to try and do a few reviews where I can, and write in between as much as I can find time with life, family, food and sleep. So hoping to have a new chapter out soon!
I've made great progress myself. Today I printed my notes for the next chapter. It may not sound like much, but I have an HP printer with a fussy output tray. It took at least 5 seconds to open the thing. After that I took a break to read more of my new physics textbook, watched the "Passion" episode of the Bible series on Netflix (too graphic), watched part of the Dune miniseries while in a deep tub of hot water (it was Heaven, if you'll pardon the pun) reread my Caligula chapter for further tweaks before Amy makes me rewrite it, and am about to read the news, followed by a reread of the first New Testament chapter, since I forgot it all. So basically, I didn't write a damn thing today. Tomorrow I'll read the notes I printed today (7 single spaced pages of drudge!), and then I may actually write something. I'll start small: one sentence. I'll report back after it's written.

Who did I miss?!
I've been identifying/sorting all of the paragraphs I need for the chapter. Who lives? Who dies? I have one last thorny impossibility to work out, after which I can actually write. It's an amazing pain in the asinus when there are so many story threads to pull together. After this, I'll be able to coast until the end, about three chapters further out. Doctor's appointment and grocery shopping are in the way tomorrow, but I should have time to solve the aforementioned impossibility. Basically, I need to get a bomber group past 187 warships to drop a few gigatons of death and destruction. It will be glorious! Kdot will be so proud.
Janet, you can start at B1 Ch20. There's a lot to rework, but a lot that should come through. There will be a lot of resequencing between the threads, and I haven't changed the spelling of Mamma's name yet in most of them.
I'm trying to introduce a lot of background stuff so that it doesn't feel like asspull. On the other hand, certain species of fiction can get away with a lot of it. Kate Paulk's Vampire Con series is full of it.
