i'm writing this book about a young boy who wakes up in a strange world and has no idea ware he is, after a while he finds a young girl who is willing to help him, but, she is a christian and he is a strong Atheist, i have content for the story in many places but i don't know how she is supposed to present God to this guy, so the question, How should i go about explaining God to an Atheist.
Bible verses, Human interaction, ext.
From my experiences with my atheist friends, using scientific facts and logic is a sure way to help them see why one might believe in God based on scientific reasons. For example, most atheists think that a 7-day creation and a world that is only 6,000 years old is scientifically false, therefore it proves that the Bible is false, therefore God is false. But if you open up to them with different theological perspectives, for example, the theological theory that God's power was so great that he did 1,000's of years worth of work in just a single day (pointing to the verse that one day is as 10,000 years to God, and 10,000 years is as one day), it would help them realize that the Bible isn't disproven by science, but that there are many different theories that do work with the same science they believe in.
