HI all, My name is Keith and I live in California. I've been writing seriously, by which I mean consistently, for about 2 years. I came to TNBW in hopes of getting feedback on my writing (of course.) I've a couple questions:
Is there some reason I should not use my real name here? Seems simpler to me, but I've noticed most people don't.
Also, I posted a story a couple days ago (no comments yet) and I'm having second thoughts about the length (9000 words.) Is it difficult to get reviews for longer pieces?

Just started Eimear McBride's A Girl Is a Half-Formed thing. Really enjoying it. A visceral experience. Not as difficult as it's purported to be; just takes a few chapters to get oriented. I'm going to read her new book, The Lesser Bohemians next. Also reading on of Will Self's Great Apes. Truly shifts your perspective on human existence. Mind-bending. I'd read Will Self years ago and liked him but his latest novel Umbrella demanded a whole new evaluation of his writing, his seriousness as a writer. Umbrella is a truly great book.
