Topic: Points?

So I posted my story and I was quite befuddled in the fact that it had said that it didn't issue points out to reviewers. Why is that? hen I went back to see if I missed anything my search came up with nothing. I'm sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused, I'm still quite new to this and I appreciate any help that can help me resolve this issue.

Hi FightorFlight,

Only Premium Members can post content that uses points. Free Members can post as much as they want to free groups but not to the Premium point groups. If you decide to upgrade to a Premium Member you can then post content that pays points and also receive reviews using the in-line review tool. You can also join up to 5 groups (versus 3 for Free members).

You can see the differences here between free and Premium:

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Points?

Sol, along these lines I posted a new chapter on my current WIP and even though I confirmed it was published, it never showed up on any lists. I checked and rechecked this to be sure--it wasn't anywhere to be found. I ended up sending private messages to my loyal readers to let them know a new chapter was up. Is this a glitch?

Is it set to publish to Groups and Connections? If so, it should have published. I will take a look.

Re: Points?

It was set for the widest exposure because I have a group of friends coming in to beta read it. I also checked free and premium.

I see it in those groups. It looks like the last chapter was published on November 13 (Chapter 26) so the sorting is near that date (there's actually a bug in sorting so it should be that date but is actually November 16). Did you publish a more recent chapter?

Changing the publishing settings doesn't change the date or pop it back to the top of the list.

It's the actual first-time publishing of the content that sets where on the lists it displays.

I see it on the Read - Groups (at top of page click Read and then Groups Content)  list as well as the Free eBooks list:

Re: Points?

Okay, I have a question. I published 3 chapters of Reaction time - Hostage on widest not realizing it was a general as it is. How do I change the publishing to Premium and groups only? I tried going through edit and it didn't work. R.M.

Hi R.M.,
1. Go to Portfolio.
2. Click the title of the work
3. Go to the Publish subtab.
4. Find the drop-down entitled: Choose who can see your content ?
5. Change it to Groups and Connections.
6. Press the Update Publish Settings button.
7. Done.

Let me know if you still have questions.
