My avatar here in the forums is my horse named Chili. The other one everywhere else is my cat, Scooterbug. Why are they different. I changed to the cat one weeks ago, but silly Chili is still hanging in here on the forums. At least he is on my laptop and phone. Odd.
Gotta clear your browser cache so it grabs the new image. Since the filnames didn't change, your browser is probably waiting for the TTL to expire before refreshing
On machines other than phones, you can also force a new download of a page using CTRL-F5. Firefox and other browsers will then reload a fresh copy of that given page.

Except the image of the horse is what I see for her here, but not elsewhere on TNBW. So I don't think it has to do with her cache or browser, but something with that of the forums?
Yes, my browser has been cleared multiple times, not just for this, but for multiple other things I work with. I use Chrome instead of Firefox, but I do have Firefox, but I've never tried the CTRL-F5. Maybe I'll give that a try and see if it changes. It's no big deal... I love both of the pics, but after a while I like to change them up. So we shall see what happens. Thanks for the suggestions.
Your browser will eventually catch up with your chosen image/avatar, both in the forums and elsewhere. Not sure how nor when, but it will refresh everything. CTRL-F5 helps, but if that isn't sufficient, see if your browser has the ability to delete all of your cached images.
I double-checked on my desktop which has more clicky things and can state that the image int the forums is a different URL and probably gets updated by some other task that runs at infrequent or unpredictable times
Kdot is correct. In Firefox, if you go to image on your profile page and right-click it, choose "Inspect," you will get a lot of info, including the URL of where that image is stored. Now, do the same thing to the Forum image. It will be a different URL indicating a storage folder for TNBW images. I'm guessing, as Kdot suggests, it is updated infrequently.
