Bisi!! Hello! And a huge CONGRATS on your gorgeous novel!
Must remember you prefer lower case, c.e.
Hello people of TNBW
I thought I would log on and see how things are here. It was such a lovely friendly group of encouragers.
Personal life has been the worst, but slowly getting better.
for anyone that can remember I was work-shopping my fantasy story, The Guardians. I finally published it!! (after 15+years) and now trying to work on the next one.
this site is looking great. I wonder how much of the old gang is still around. but it's nice to meet new people too.
Welcome back, LouLou. You joined a few years before my time. The fact that you took fifteen years to publish your first novel is encouraging to me since my current novel will be years in the making at my present rate of progress. Did you publish traditionally or go the self publishing route?
Hello, Louo Lou! I'm still here! Well, as much as is possible, lol. My first novel here was published as well, and I've since written another that I have high hopes for. Working on my third on site - and yes, years go by!
Welcome back, LouLou. You joined about five years before me. Both of my published books were workshopped here. Great bunch of people still.

Is there any way to access two missing chapters of one of my novels?
Nathan, it depends on why they went missing. If they somehow became inactive, then click on the story in your portfolio and then the Edit button (not the edit link). That brings up the Edit wizard. Go to the Publish tab. If your chapters are there, you can view them from there, or you can make them active, so they once again appear in the chapter list (the drop down pick list) when you view the story normally (from outside the Edit wizard). If they don't appear on the Publish tab, then they are most likely gone. You'd have to contact Sol to see if there's anything he can do.
Thanks for your response, Dirk. What is the difference.between the edit button and the edit link? I haven't come across the edit wizard link. The missing chapters are active, and I have no idea how I deleted them. It's never happened over the last 20 years on this site.
I'd contact Sol. I've never encountered active chapters that are simultaneously deleted.
The Edit link (for novels) allows you to edit the chapter title, number, version, chapter notes, and chapter content of a given chapter, without having to go into the Edit wizard (via the Edit button), which is rather cumbersome for simple edits. It's the same screen that comes up if you select Edit Chapter from the Content tab of the Edit wizard. The blue Edit link is visible below the chapter notes whenever you view one of your chapters onscreen.
Hello all! I'm Serra, happy to be here. Looking forward to reading as much as I can here on The Next Big Writer.
Welcome, Serra. There's always room for someone who knows how to spell colour. :-)
Welcome, Serra. It's a great site. Read, review, post and repeat.
